Funding Opportunities for eSafety

Just had this passed to me and thought I'd post the informatin on there as it may be useful to some people.

 

Grants are available for initiatives that contribute to a safe, accessible Internet used to improve lives and communities. The current areas of focus are:

 

• Web access - providing people with the motivation, skills and tools to get online in a meaningful and sustained way
   
  
• Web safety - improving understanding about the risks of being online and reducing Internet crime and abuse
   
  
• Web in society - imaginative applications of the Internet to address specific social problems
  

 

They won't pay for any infrastructure or hardware accoring to the restrictions and funding criteria, the first idea that springs to mind is some kinda E-Safety, Safer Internet workshops to run next academic year every half term and throught the summer for the school and all our partner primaries.

Never actually thought about software, its actualy a really good idea.

 

I'm sure if the software helps your project to deliver against the area of focus it shouldn't be a problem asking for it.
