Here is a plea for guidance - anyone on SWGfL using Joomla and Akkbea Backup please. I'm looking for a bit of a steer on how to use it.

I have a localhost site that has many bells and whistles including Akeeba. I now want to run that site up to my existing in place but incomplete SWGfL site.

I don't think the system will allow me to clear the http folder by FTP. I'm thinking I have to do that on Plesk? If that's right is it simply a case of deleting the existing site on Plesk and uploading the Kikstart script and Akeeba produced zip backup to Plesk.

Then going to suite/kickstart and the install happens or have I missed something or am I way off the money anyhow:confused:

I've used the kickstart script to restore a site when moving to a new server, but I think it's designed to be used on a server that has the requisite components (i.e. LAMP) but no Joomla install. If you delete everything from the remote host then the restore process will recreate the filestructure and also set up the database.
