Stopping a service pack installing.

I have just tried to put SP 2 on a vista machine but when it boots up it says it didn't install and reverts changes back to before. The trouble is, it does this every time I logon. How can I stop it trying to install and revert back every time.

I looked in Control panel/programs but couldn't see it in there. Anyone got any ideas, it's driving me nuts evertyime I do a restart.

Can you check the event logs for any errors and post any error messages you see after the reboot. I would focus on getting the SP installed rather than moved.
