bertster Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Sanyo PLC-XE40 power up problem We have just put a brand new bulb into this projector but I cant get it to power up. I have a power light - red and the bulb warning light as orange, but projector will not start up. Have checked the Thermal Switch as per other threads in this forum, and switch is down. I'm not getting any response from the remote control and have tested it on another board and the remote works fine. Tried another brand new bulb but still the same. Any one with any ideas? Thanks
Marc-Engineer Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Sounds like you have lost the remote code, it is an easy reset but i will not put it on the board to make it common knowlage for obvios reasons, if you want to ring either your supplier they should talk you through it, if not let me know and i will ring you and assist you with it. It is a security feature and should not be open on a board for everyone to see for that reason. Marc Projector Engineer 1
Guest mattbrown02 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 We recently lost and replaced the remote for our only PLC-XE40 at a cost of nearly £100, but the projector will not respond to the new remote. Is there something we need to do in order to use the new remote?
Marc-Engineer Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Yes, but for security, i cant put it on a board for public view, so PM me here with your phone and i will ring you and help you to do it, you will need the projectopr connected and the remote. Marc Projector Engineer
cpink12345 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Just bought the same Plc -xe 40 projector but bought the remote separate. Wondering if I can get help on matching it up to the projector.
MbroTech Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 If it is just switching between the two IR channels then the instructions are also in the manual I think. Students here seem to know it somehow anyway. I am always having to reset the remotes - although maybe they are actually changing the channel on the projector which is a menu item but has the same effect.
tehalley Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 I am having a power problem too. Just installed a new bulb & it worked fine. 5 days later turned it on & it will only show an image for exactly 60 seconds and turns itself off. Have reset projector and reset bulb. The cooling air never even gets warm. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
