chrbb Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Anyone using an APC ups but not the smart thingy software? I've attached my ups, it's recognised and I've set up the server to shutdown when the battery reaches 50%. Is that sufficient?

SYNACK Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 It depends on how big the UPS is, it depends on how long your server takes to shutdown and how long your UPS will run it for. So long as it can shutdown in the time provided then it will be fine.
