Hi

Please could someone help

I am creating a new image of windows 7 and am having a problem.

I have created a machine with all the programs on and have ghosted the machine just in case without syspreping.

Then I have sysprep /generalize /oobe to check sysprep works as I have heard there are sometimes problems

The computer preps and reboots and gives me the following error

error after sysperp.JPG

Windows cannot finish configuring the system. To attempt to reconfigure the system restart the system.

I have put the original ghost image back and have changed the bois so the ata and ide are set to compatable and that did not help.

I have disabled Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service and that did not help.

I have installed the sysprep patch from micrsoft KB977392 and that did not help.

Has anyone got any ideas how to fix this.

Oooo .. now why couldn't I find this when I started having this issue ..

I take it you install the hotfix on the system before you sysprep it? I'm having a blonde Friday .. lol ..

Just got round to pushing the image out to our ICT suite having been off for a week (had wisdom teeth out last Tuesday) and it works now thanks to you posting about that Hotfix ...

P.S. don't worry .. I won't actually run to Balshaws and kiss you .. lol .. :)
