Guest Appothis Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 (edited) Hello there, I recently setup a Samsung CLX-3185 multifunction workgroup computer onto our network and went into the Syncthru web panel and changed the admin password, however neither the password I typed in or the default password are working anymore.. I've tried various variations to no avail. I've tried blank username and the last 8 digits of the mac address which works on some models, that also failed. This is frustrating as its a brand new printer out of the box and I cannot change most of the settings on it because of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Phil. P.S. The Samsung customer support are useless. Edited March 22, 2011 by Appothis

justern Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Wireless is automatically off if connected via LAN. You can also turn it off via the UI on the machine.

Not sure if you still need this but I was in the same situation and I figured out that the printer only accepted the first 18 chars of the 25 char password that I had made.
speckytecky Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 An update on this! I spoke to a very helpful lady at Samsung Support this morning about a problem we are having on a CLP-680 - the machine has a IP reservation and I went onto SyncThru and as the pop up recommends changed the username and admin PW. Unfortunately post that I can no longer log on to SyncThru for that machine. She told me that they now no longer recommend changing the username and PW. I want to try updating the FW as this machine causes our Admin staff grief when trying to print larger PDFs. I'm wondering if I reset the machine from it's onboard control panel will it pick up it's Reservation cleanly again?
