seanlaz Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 anyone picking this up? played the demo, lots better than FNR4, and the graphics are ace. IGN = 8/10
LosOjos Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I fancy it but I'll probably wait for the price to drop a bit
seanlaz Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 its pretty good. picked up on way home from work. if anyone has played EA MMA its more like that in terms of the gameplay, you can see its the same team. (btw EA MMA 2 when its released should be ace graphics wise!) graphics are ace, the haymaker is still abit groggy but when you pull off it works. movement of fighter isnt as good as say UFC, but just takes a little getting used to. the hardest thing to do is jab and move, but i think that will come with more play. the story mode is meant to be really good but havent dived into that yet. as you guys have said prolly wait till its like £20 then give a go...i'm just bored of my games atm! BTW demo is on marketplace for anyone that didnt know.
seanlaz Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 btw EA needs to put tournaments/ppv mode in their fighting games like THQ have done with UFC instead of just exhibition. simple feature, but fun as hell.

BTW demo is on marketplace for anyone that didnt know. i honestly think its worth the very steep price i paid for it in HMV (£40.99) i simply couldn't wait several days for delivery and £8 extra (ish) was in retrospect a bargain. you HAVE to play the champion mode it is amazing. makes such a difference to a boxing game if it has a story to go with it rather than fighting one person after another until you hit a wall. put it on a reasonable difficulty level though as winning every fight without too much effort is a bit boring! the bare knuckle fights in the prison etc are brilliant though!! fight night 4 was such a let down and i was hesistant to buy champion, until i read about the champion story mode. i couldn't stop playing it, completed it in about 6 hours and now find myself addicted to the legacy mode with my own created boxer! the whole online aspect of the game is quite exciting as a concept as well. probably never even get to challenge a belt holder but it gives it quite a buzz to have regional champions in different weight catagories etc. better than playing noob after noob on fifa online anyway! if you fancy a match some time let me know! im dire and don't believe in blocking so shouldn't be too hard to out box!
