Touché...

As today is World book day, a lot of the kids are dressed up as book characters. Like always there's a few naruto characters floating about, mostly year 5/6.

 

I saw one this morning and he was pretty impressive, I found out he'd been working on it for about 3 months. Super detailed and completely custom made.

 

He was going through all the things it had, not realising I watch naruto and know who he's supposed to be, and had everything spot on.

 

Except one thing. The character has cool eyes.

 

I mentioned this, pretty much just to show off the fact I knew what he was talking about, and was surprised by his excuse/explaination.

 

Without a moments hesitation, he told me he wasn't just $character, he was $character after he had used $awesome_skill and as such ran out of the energy needed to sustain the eyes. [Which happened in the book.]

 

Some of the excuses for costume flaws I've [over]heard are pretty weak, so it was nice to find someone who not only had a good reason [Parents wouldn't get them the contacts] but then encorporated it into their costume in a way that made sense.

 

 

This has nothing to do with anything... I just felt like sharing.
