Almost an hour into our train journey to Readign for tomorrows conf. Both Ric and I on Thinkpads and Windows 7 have been browsing the net since we left Preston station. Shaun on his mega specced MacBook Pro on teh other hand, has to date, totally failed to connect to the trains wi-fi, even using bootcamp to try it in W7. Oh! it looks like he's there now. it turns out his Mac wasn't resolving the host name of the trains wi-fi system and he had to connect via IP.

Macs. They just work. Sort of.
