I have had a closer look at the images and I am left wondering:

 

Have the images suffered some censorship?

And what appears to be casting a shadow on the surface of The Moon?

They latter is probably some kind of image processing artefact. As for the first ones: Errors in image processing?

Kinda grey. Do you have them in colour? Pink for instance?
