marco84 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Does anyone know how i can run a slient install of the exambase client software? I know some people have packaged it up in an MSI and deployed through GPO, i havent got any experience or making MSI's. So it would be easier if i can just do a silent install from a startup script. Thanks.
plexer Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Marco, I have an msi you can use and it's very simple to push it out if you want to have a go? Let me know and I'll pm you the details. Ben
marco84 Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 That would be great please Ben. Im just deploying the KS3 online testing software at the moment using the msi, so it would be great if i can deploy the exambase software at the same time. Thanks.
tosca925 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 @Plexer I'd like a copy of this please if i can. I need to re-image the PC's in the room we do the Exambase in and it would be great if i could deploy it back across GPO.
HallX Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Plexer Can I have a copy too!! Could you possibly place the .msi in the downloads section? Regards Paul
plexer Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I don't know if I'm allowed too if a staff member gives me the ok then I will. Ben
SpuffMonkey Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I've got it scripted up with AutoIT, which only took a few minutes to do, then run the AutoIT exe during machine startup from a GPO - it was quite easy (after I'd sorted out the mistake I made with the permissions on the folder )
kmount Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I've done it now too. Few hours, a pot noodle and several cups of coffee.
darren Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Hi Guys, Does anyone has a copy of exambase client .msi file, i've been trying to build my own but unable to. Many thanks. Darren
