[sims] Minimum Requirements

Hi All,

 

According to the capita document we've been sent SIMS.net client requires a 3GHz or higher processor. To me this seems a little high, especially as we have it running on considerably lower spec machines.

 

Can anyone confirm this one way or another?

3Ghz most likely refers to the old P4 3Ghz processors. Any modern processor should run it fine, just avoid Celerons and Atoms I'd say.

Really, i'm sure i saw a minimum spec' document for a server that had the same requirement. But it was old school single core type, so i guess that's reasonable.

Clients can get away with less, but i'd be more worried about all the other stuff you would want to run on a PC struggling, if you have very low spec' machines.

I would guess that the SIMS System Requirements Document will be need to be upgraded once the optimum requirements for SIMS Discover are finalised.
