Uraken Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Does anyone use Hardware Managment System from MST that can give me a quick heads up on a network install? cheers in advance
meastaugh1 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 From memory, I believe it's just a case of running the full install to the network mapping from one workstation, then running the client install on any subsequent workstations.
russdev Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Think that is right well use to be anyway and don't think Kev has changed anything. Russ
Uraken Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 so there has to be a client loaded on any machine that wants to connect to it then?
meastaugh1 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Yeah, I think it's just runtime files. I guess you could repackage them into an MSI if they need to be redistributed to a large number of clients. I haven't, as we only use it on 4 workstations.
Uraken Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 yeah i suppose it can be centrally managed thanks amyway all.
Uraken Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 sorry not happy with my last post . I forgot to mention that this is top dollar software made for free.
