Moodle 1.9 - Split Gradebook into categories

Hello,

 

How do I split a gradebook into categories please?

 

I want 5 assignments to be grouped together and given a grade,

another 3 assignments to be grouped and given a grade,

and another 2 assignments grouped and given a grade.

 

I then want the course total to be the maximum of the 3 groups grades.

Hi there.

* click grades in the course admin

* Click "categories and items"

* Scroll down and click "add category" and give it a name and choose your aggregation method

* Use the up/down arrows on the grade items of the 5 assignments in your gradebook to move them into your new category.

* Repeat for the other categories
