creese Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I am thinking about buying a Media Server for home. What I want, but not sure if I can have is at least 1TB storage and to be able to unplug alternate weekends to take and plug in to the girlfriends system, so a resonably small size. Any advice or recommendations?
dhicks Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Any advice or recommendations? I bought a PC from Tranquil: Tranquil PC - Home Page No fan, so completly silent (well, you can hear the harddrive if you have one fitted). They're one of the first to market with the new "sandy bridge" Intel processors. The case has room for both 2.5" and 3.5" disks - you could fit a SSD to boot from and have a 3TB drive for storage, for instance. -- David Hicks 1
