Windows Activation.

Has any one else recently noticed some of there computers needing reactivating ? not sure if it is a new update maybe ?

 

Mine are all OEM .. None indicate they require activating and are actually working fine .

 

Only reason i noticed because i wanted to go into safe mode and it said it required activating .. so i run the activation program and it did require it !

 

there is no baloon messages stating i require activation ?

Had this problem on an OEM XP pro desktop, turned out to be errors on the HDD.

You could try the CHKDSK /R option, or your favourite HDD tool to check for bad blocks.

Someone also suggested to me that it could be malware, but in my case it wasn't.
