Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Found it in the back of an Admin office. I think its pretty cool. Took my a minute to work out where the wind on and shutter button were. Someone has even glued on a piece of paper with different weather conditions and photo styles and what type of f stop you should use! http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Super_Frankarette
featured_spectre Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 that will fetch a fortune on ebay!!!
Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 From what i can see on the wiki's it might be from 1959....
Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 that will fetch a fortune on ebay!!! Nah, i think they are still quite common....
kmount Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 A fiver bid is the only one I could find on Ebay (at this time) with a bid. Some wanting £20 but no takers. Wouldn't get too excited yet, maybe in another 50 years time and a sudden dwindling of their numbers in a suspicious theft spree might help.
Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 lol! I think its a nice little find though! Very retro...
tech_guy Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 My late grandfather used to have the exact same model. I used to be fascinated by it.
Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 Actually thought you had found a purple one for a moment... then realised it was the reflection lol i wondered if someone would notice that!
mattx Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) I've got tons of old camera kit in the loft - worth sweet bugger all really. I bought a Canon SLR lens converter so it fitted on my DSLR - it worked [ you have to set the camera to manual mode which does not bother me as it spends its time mainly in manual or aperture mode ] but it was such a faff to get on and off it was not worth it. Shame as I had some stunning old SLR lenses. Last count I have about 5 old cameras - and funny thing is on a clear out the other day I found the first point and shoot digital I got which took a huge 1 mega pixel picture if memory serves me right - thing cost me 400 quid !! http://www.epi-centre.com/reports/images/9802seyk.jpg I got it to see how good digital photos were at the time and was VERY disappointed !! Thing is now I would never go back to film....... Edited January 20, 2011 by mattx
Little-Miss Posted January 20, 2011 Author Posted January 20, 2011 I remember my dad buying some kodak camera years ago. Cost about the same. God it was a brick!
