ChrisH Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Can someone remind me how you find the students without a timetable in SIMS.net. I thought it was in T4 somewhere or in the main interface now but I can't find it. Cheers Chris
Sivadam Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Can someone remind me how you find the students without a timetable in SIMS.net. I thought it was in T4 somewhere or in the main interface now but I can't find it. Cheers Chris Not all the NT4 Reporting functionality has been replicated in SIMS.net yet which is why many of us still maintain NT4. The Route in NT4 is File, Multiple Printing Tasks, Timetables, Student Timetables, Select Students using Query. Then select Students 'With Free periods'. This report will obviously deliver all the timetables for any amount of missing lessons, but at least it narrows the search down for you! You can select certain years so that you could filter out Year 12 & Y13 if you are looking for younger Students. You would obviously have to Untick 'Show Excluded Periods', in Parameters, if you have Reg Periods etc. set up in this way! Edited January 18, 2011 by Sivadam 1
vikpaw Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 You could also just run a simple report out of the reporting engine, which would save you having to search much at all. Data fields = name+reg, Filter = classes, condition = 'equals 0'. Works for us anyway.
vikpaw Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Just came across this, topic id(30329), on SupportNet which has an even better way with built in report system. http://support.capitaes.co.uk/newforum/main.asp?params=%95%9E%A1%9B%A0%A6%C8%A0%B0%A2%A4%B4%A9%8E%F1%98%94%90%9C%A8%AD%DC%90%A5%A9%9C%A9%E5%A0%B6%95%A8%B4%A0%D0%D4%E9%E4%D4%CA%E6%96%98%97%A6%B3%A6%8E%DF%91%D9%DC%D2%D4%E2%D6 Basically, use general student list report with filter from other fields list on 'free period count'. 1
