DNS resolve to diffrent name

Hi When connecting to a machine with vnc via computer name we get a completey diffrent pc? I think this is dns any ideas?

Probably DNS, would assume that you're DHCP'd in which case the DNS server may have not been updated by DHCP/registration of client, or the client may not be on, and another client has grabbed the last IP address registered with DNS for the machine you're trying to connect to.
