Laptop Insurance

Hi All,

 

We are a brand new academy and we give every student a laptop device that they use and take home. All we want to ask is that parents buy themselves some laptop insurance incase of damage to the device.

 

Does anyone know a suitable company that offers insurance? or is someone doing this already?

Compucover offer a very good deal for four years at £135 or around £34 a year

CompuCover - insurance for a mobile generation

 

There are a few places offering insurance for around £4 a month from a quick Google

We also use CompuCover. We buy through a third party and I think we get better prices than shown on the site @gwendes has linked to. It would probably be worth talking to them and saying "we have xxx people who want insurance; what discount do we get"

 

Worth checking what's covered - batteries will almost certainly be excluded (they just are!) but some people won't cover cracked screens (pencil left on keyboard and lid closed etc).
