application failing to install

Windows xp sp3

Software installtion is set for the computer and not the user

I verified Domain computer have "share" rights full and "NTFS" rights read/execute. I verified that the laptop that I am testing with is located in the "domain computer" group

 

Group policy is not installing applicaitons. I ran netdiag on all the servers and no errors. On the client, this is what i see:

Event Id: "the assingment of application JavaTM 6 Update 4 from polic test succeeded"

Next Event Id: 102

The iinstall of application Jave TM Update 4 from policy test failed. the error was: The installation source for the product is not available. Verify the souce exists and that you can access it

next event

Event ID: 303

the removal of the assingment of applications Java TM 6 update from policy test suceeded

I get same set of event id for a trend. msi I am trying to install.
