I have a school that has purchased 36 of ESPRIMO P7936.

We have installed 18 into the IT suite without any issues. Now we are deploying the rest into the classrooms, but we have come across an issue.

When they are plugged in the classroom we keep getting a keyboard error press F1 to continue, but I know for a fact that these computers work.

What is also strange is last night we tested 1 pc in the class again Keyboard error, moved it into the IT suite and it works fine!

The keyboards are PS/2 connections and are brand new, if we use a USB keyboard then they work.

The problem I have is that I don't have 18 spare USB keyboards, anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this or how to get around it.

Thanks

Paul.

Sorry, not familiary with this particular model, but it reminds me of a PC we used to have here that had a BIOS option to halt on keyboard error or just get on with the boot - may be worth a poke round in the BIOS....?

I've thought of that, but nothing has changed from moving from one room to another. It's as though there's some sort of gremlin inside!!

I know that there is nothing wrong with the computer, and that it works except for when you move it into another class. What I forgot to mention is that its not just happening on 1 computer, it happened yesterday on 5!!
