Replacing battery on an Interlink Presentation Pilot Pro

We have one of those handy little hand held laser pointer remote from PC mouse things - usb plugs into the PC. Been working fine till the latest attempt to use it and it's dead. I'm presuming there is an onboard button battery that needs replacing but the thing is screwless and there isn't an obvious way to open it and see.

 

Anyone else run into this and found a solution by any chance?
