Just to get a rough idea of price, how close would you be able to get to NCIXs?

Run with NCIXs, I can't beat that price. It would be about $62 through me. Also keep in mind you want memory that is certified by Apple.

 



They don't. The reason I mentioned NCIX was because Carter's price would have to be close to theirs (or cheaper) for it to be economically feasible once shipping to the UK was included. Also, NCIX was the only Canadian supplier I could think of at the time (there's NewEgg.ca too).

 

RAM has been getting a lot cheaper recently. Last week I bought 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 RAM for less than £30. This was for my HP ProLiant MicroServer. SO-DIMMs are a bit more expensive so I reckon I will wait a bit longer before upgrading my Mac mini from 4GB to 8GB RAM.

 

Just out of curiosity why would you need Apple certified RAM?

I'm not sure either. I normally use RAM from Crucial or Corsair in my Mac's. Never had any issues.
