Mandatory Profiles Win 7

Im trying to setup Man Profiles for windows 7 but cant get it to work at all. Iv dont XP ones before and they worked perfect.

I logged on to a win 7 machine and created the profile. Then I logged on as a domain admin loaded windows enabler and copied the profile to \\domain\netlogon\student.v2'' then I renamed the .dat to .man, went into regedit and Loaded the HIVE and labled it NTUSER then checked permission and its already set to everyone and full control, when doing this i noticed it mae a few new files in the Profile with .MAN at the end of them.

 

Then the student.v2 I changed to Read, Read and Execute,List Folder contents. Put the path of the profile into the user in AD \\domain\netlogon\student.v2'' .. and still does not work...

 

Can anyone help me with this please.

Don't do this.

 

Just use \\domain\netlogon\student

The .V2 will be added automatically by Windows 7 when looking for the profile.

With your current setting it will be looking for \\domain\netlogon\student.V2.V2
