Webcam that does not need a cd to install?

Is there such a thing as a web cam that will just work as soon as its plugged in rather than having to install a driver from a CD etc. Reason is that I now use some web cams for animation with the kids but it means wherever I go I have to install the driver so wondering if there were any web cams that just worked with the drivers that come included with XP?
