A good idea, probably not. Will it work, depending on distance, probably yes. Depending on the cables shielding their could be some cross talk which might corrupt the data going across the USB. In truth I've only ever experience the problem with unshielded speaker cables, data cables have always functioned fine to me run next to shielded mains.
