I recently had a couple users not receive some emails because the attachments were too large. Is there an option to alert users when this occurs, so they know to tell the original sender they couldn't receive the message. Is there a log that records when this happens, and what the details are?

Is there a setting for what the message says? The user claims they never received a bounce back message.

Also, does it log the fact that this happened?

You should be able to use System Manager / Message Tracking System to see what happened to emails. Were they internal or coming from an external source - if external - it might be a bit trickier to chase down

Further to the above - it should log a (3 i think) entries for each email - one saying the mailbox sent the email - another to say the exchange server has received it and another to say its forwarded it - either to an internal mailbox or the external Smart host.

If it is blocked it will show you that it has.
