Dos_Box Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 The National Computing Museum were at the r3play expo in Blackpool and had one of these up and running..... http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs930.snc4/74301_1573379806728_1002537176_31604769_1466462_n.jpg Now, hands up if you still have one of these in a cupboard somewhere?
synaesthesia Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Wow, I remember visiting a secondary school when I was around 7 to have a play with one of those - and even then they were considered old! Fantastic
laserblazer Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I supplied them with the Z80 and some of the support chips, 16k x 1 DRAM if I think.
ConTheITGuy Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 We got rid of one on our last scrap collection!
Andrew_C Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 In a fit of nostalgia, we've been putting our Z80 training boards back into service!
Gatt Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Not seen the one in the OP But I did have one of these when I was in High School... [
srochford Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Fantastic machine - spent several years working with them (and then the 480z which was the successor). Scary thing is that I think they were about £2000 each in 1980 - you get rather a lot more machine for that money today :-)
Butuz Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I don't just remember one - I have one in my cuboard!!! Butuz
