Junior Librarian - SIMS connector (MLS Exporter) MSJET problem

We have SIMS (fully patched) and Junior Librarian 3 running on the same box, Server 2008 R2. All was OK until we installed the MLS connector software so that Junior Librarian 3 can extract pupil data from SIMS

 

When we run the connectivity test an error is thrown up:

 

The Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0 provider is not registered on the local machine.

 

Googling the error shows a number of threads on the same eror with all sorts af database type clients, but no resolution methodology for a svr 2008 installation.

 

I've passed the issue to MLS support but they have yet to come back to me.

 

Has anyone else experienced and overcome this issue?
