kevin_lane Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 i have just added my windows 2008r2 server to the network everything was working i then added it as a dc next day i comes in e.g today the windows firewall has stopped working due to a base filtering engine service not being able to start which as stopped all network activity put still lets me logon to the server physcially i cant ping it the message of access denied it was running under a network service account so i tried using my account didnt work i cant find anything on the net or im looking in the wrong does any one have any idea of this problem its wrecking my head:confused:
pete Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 What happens if you try to manually start the base filtering service? What errors do you get in the logs? Also, is the event log running?
