sted Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Im trying to get ubuntu 10.10 installed on hyper v so i can install Nagios Network monitoring and have a play with it. Does anyone know how to get the networking working. Ive seen a few guides that tell me to add hv_tools and others to a conf file but i just cant get it to network any ideas or preferably anyone got a step by step guide.
Duke Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Not sure if this is going to be related to your problem or not, but MS have very limited Linux guest support under Hyper-V: Windows Server 2008 R2: Virtualization with Hyper-V: Supported Guest OS As they support Red Hat, you might be better off using Centos? Just a thought!
