Geoff Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 you can use ghostscript to convert pdfs to a more useful format. It only runs on Linux though. On windows your stuck with paying Adobe money.
russdev Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 you can get ghostscript for windows.... http://www.boutell.com/wusage/optional/gswin.html russ
Geoff Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 yes, but you also need the wrapper script pdf2ps. http://www.csit.fsu.edu/~burkardt/g_src/pdf2ps/pdf2ps.html Its a bash shell script so I expect it would work if you installed Cygwin too.
russdev Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 might play around with that... silly question has anyone tried outting cygwin installation into msi using wininstall or something.. russ
Geoff Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 There's certainly been discussions about it on the mailing list. Cygwin doesn't do anything wierd. You should be able to make a working MSI for a paticular combination of tools quite easily.
