DansGuardian - some stupid quistions

Hello all,

Can anybody help with the following questions about DansGuardian.

 

 

1. I take it the machine running the software requires two network cards. One set to the local network address with users looking at the proxy port, and the other set to the same IP address range as your firewall?? - so its "IN" one end and "OUT" the other?

 

2. I have read some guides about configuring the software - is there any REALLY good HOW TO guides which will take you through it step by step.

 

 

3. The "bolt-on" for Smoothwall Express, is there any good and simple HOW TO guides for getting that working.

 

4. What is the cost for School Guardian for around 400 users ??

the blocklist files are located in /etc/dansguardian/[filter profile eg adult]/ and you will need to ssh (putty/winscp are good for this) into the smoothie to change them
