Exams Module showing $ not £ - Only on 32Bit Win7 Pro

Hi,

My Exams officer was running a report that shows the cost of exams, and the report only shows in $. Her machine is a brand new Win7 32Bit laptop. I ran the same report on my 64Bit Win7 Pro machine and all OK, tried on my 64bit 2008 Terminal Server and all OK. Tried on other users 32bit laptops and the same....however the same user on a XP machine is fine???

Obviously all the regional settings are correct. LA support team feel it is not a SIMS issue, however I can not see how it could not be.

Anyone else seen this?

Have you actually made sure that the currency is correct in Windows 7? It may be that the location is correct, but it hasn't changed the correct currency symbol.

1. Open the Control Panel (All Items view), and choose the Region and Language Options icon.

2. In the Regional and Language options window . Click on the Additional Settings button.

3. Click on the Currency tab, and change the Currency to the format you want to use (£).

there have been issues with win7 whereby the regional settings are correct and yet sims still isn't happy.

the trick was to change it to something you don't want. save reboot etc. then change it back, and somehow it forces it through.

work a try if the above doesn't work but it still looks like your setup is ok.
