IE8 Favourites - suggested sites

Getting an annoying issue with IE8 and suggested sites toolbar / favourites. I haven't checked it out with all users yet but certainly a member of the teaching staff and myself are affected - when I or she changes the suggested sites toolbar it repeats across on the other users toolbar. have turned off suggested sites in Group Policy but it's still happening. We have a Windows 2008 Server and predominantly XP Network.

 

Looking further in it today I noticed when I was trying to add a site to my Favourites the default setting seems to sit in

 

 

Any suggestions how to work around this one please?

Can you use Chrome, or Firefox? They really are a league ahead of IE right now, especially Chrome.

Thanks scholarpark - yes I could but I want to sort the IE problem out as it's bugging me!!
