Mac's and AD - Log on issues.

Hi All,

Hope you guys can steer me in the right direction!

I have a large number of new macs (10.6.4) plugged into a AD domain (2003/2008 mixed) that are exhibiting some very frustrating issues.

Not all, but most are intermittently rejecting log on with AD users. They'll work, then the user will log out and the next user wont be able to log in at all, either a full restart is required (75% chance this will work) or an admin will need to log on to the local admin account (works nearly 100% of the time), log out and then the user can log in..

I've got about 6 month exp with macs, but this is the first time we have done a mass deployment on AD.

Any help would be greatly received :)

Where do I start?

Cheers

IN the AD plug'n try adding in the IP address to your preferred domain. You will see this option on the Administrative tab "Prefer this domain". If your running two DC's with 2003 & 2008 select one. Perhaps one of the two is having issues.

Oh, do you use anything like DeepFreeze. There is a possible issue if using something that freezes the computer.
