Classerver 4 and Vista?

Just updated some laptops to Vista business edition. All is fine and dandy except that Microsoft classserver 4 teacher fails to synchronise properly. It always falls over.

 

Anyone got this running or no of a way arounbd it? (except revert back to XP Pro)

Not sure but I'm guessing it's because Vista has a completely different structure to user profiles. Gone are the good old C:\Documents and Settings. Hello C:\users.

 

At a guess if you were to create a Documents and Settings folder (with the sub folders for that user it should work.

 

From memory Class Server Teacher stores the syncronised copy under the Local Settings hidden folder on the users profile. I'd compare with an XP machine and try that.

 

Big shame that the Sharepoint Learning Kit will not have offline sync in my opinion. Working on growing my own to move to Sharepoint 2k7.
