gaz350 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) (grr typos 460c blades) We're in the process of configuring our new blades. (well the engineers are) the blades are 6GB(3x2) and having 32GB upgrades(3x8). These are single processor blades with the 2nd slot free. so am i correct in thinking that all the ram should be in the DIMM sockets that are specified for Proccessor 1 and not spread across the 2 banks of DIMM Sockets? If you blade is 460c G6 single processor, then Yes! then memory is installed in location 14 on your diagram. The 5500/5600 series processors has an integrated memory controller, thus memory is required to be attached to each processor. (NUMA architecture)
