Exchange 2007 mailbox permissions

I seem to have a few users with funny permissions on their mailboxes and I can't see how to change them.

 

When I use the command Get-mailboxpermission "username" it list loads of my domain accounts as having deny permission... some inherited and some not. I have tried deleting them using the powershell but that doesn't work (no errors)

 

I am sure when I started I dug down into the bowels of EX2007 to set something but I can't find out where it is.. anyone have a clue how I can fix it.

Find the mailbox in the Management Console - right click and select manage full access permission

Doesn't work, thats why I need to delve deeper.

Can you grant yourself permission by using

 

Add-MailboxPermission "Mailbox" -User "Trusted User" -AccessRights FullAccess

 

as mentioned here

Nope, there is a deny on it which is inherited which seems to override everything.

Are you able to edit the mailbox /mail flow settings in the properties?

Are you managing Exchange remotely or on the server?

I am on sat at the server.. I can manage mailflow and everything else on the users mailbox.

 

Its not all mailboxes.. just 2 that I need to get into to manage as they are away... the rest of the boxes play nicely
