Hi all

Just came accross this site when googling ..

I have just taken over a primary school and have been tasked with setting up a 'fail-safe' system. The bursar has a 'vision' of having a mirror, so I need to mirror our file server.

Not something i have done before or know much about. Any of you guys got experience with this kinda thing .. or can offer advice?

Would be muchus aprreciated ..

DFS is what you need if it's for file services. Active directory, DNS, DHCP you just run 2 servers, other things like print etc you run a cluster. Stuff like clustering would be cost prohibitive for a primary school as you need things like a SAN, but DFS and having redundancy on AD, DNS and DHCP is achievable.
