[FOG] Problem with Fog adding machines to AD

I've never had issues with this in the past, however since a recent hard disc failure resulting in a re-install of FOG server and a restore of the DB backups, this is what has been happening:-

 

Whenver a machine tries to add itself to the domain, the fog.log file shows a wrong domain password error.

 

I have tried re-entering the domain admin username and password (multiple different accounts), and entered the password both as plain text and encrypted using FogCrypt, but still the problem occurs...

 

Can anyone suggest where I could be going on.

it could be magic quotes and the \ appearing twice.

-try turning magic quotes off in your php.ini

eg:

/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

 

magic_quotes_gpc = off

 

then restart apache

There is also a bug (maybe just in the latest version) that means you cannot set the AD parameters on a per group basis, if you do it will drop the the backslash from the string.

 

Normally if you can't joing the domain the username is in the wrong format or the account doesn't have permission to add computer objects to the OU or container.

Are you using the same pass phrase in FogCrypt and the hostnamechange.dll (see FOGUserGuide - FOGProject Wiki).

 

Second thoughts. Are you using FOG service 0.28 or 0.29? I found that when I upgraded to FOG Service 0.29 I kept getting problems joining to the domain, the password was reported as being wrong. After downgrading back to 0.28 and everything started working properly again.
