I read the article in The Times this evening - it seems unlikely they've got it wrong

It's not really "Flash on the iPad" though - they're talking about the use of the converter within Flash CS5 to create iOS apps. As the PC World article points out, native Flash content on the web is still out, at least until Jobs u-turns on that too.

Thank goodness for that - I managed to deter my boss from wanting ipads on our new wireless network by explaining that Flash won't work and as a primary school, we use it a great deal.

(before anyone comments, yes I am sure ipads have their place but we need more conventional computing around the school before we get add-ons like ipads)

I agree - it's not full Flash, but clearly Jobs is weakening. I'm sure this is because of the Android iPad rivals being released now.

 

Not having Flash abilities on Apple kit is a barrier to many schools as we use so much software and so many websites that depend on it. We don't have the budget to have a set of Apple kit and a set of other PCs.

 

Like witch, my school needs lots more ordinary stuff before we can think of toys like iPads. If iPads could run everything we needed maybe they wouldn't be toys.
