Exchange 2010 Dynamic Distribution Group

We had a query based distribution group in Exchange 2003 on which membership was based on if they were members of specific security groups. I need to set this up in Exchange 2010 and for the life of me can't figure out a way to do this.

It needs to look for people who are members of 2 different security groups, so it's not an easy case of mail enabling a security group. I've looked at dynamic ditribution groups but cannot find a way to set up a custom filter based on security group membership.

If you choose New Distribution Group rather than New Dynamic Distribution Group then check the box on the second page of the wizard for "Specify an Organisational Unit rather than using a default one" you can choose Users as your OU. This then creates a Distribution Group in AD to which you can add your security groups. Any members of those security groups will then automatically be members of the distribution group too. Is that what you're after?

Sorry to bump open an old thread - but...

 

Can you add just a single user to a dynamic distribution group, without having to remove the whole thing and start a fresh by adding security groups and standard distribution lists?

Just seems a long winded messy way of doing it. Have one user outside the particular OU who needs to be on this distribution group and the person is a member of another OU and dymanic group.
