Admiral208 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Hi everyone. This is probably a really easy thing to but but I cant figure it out!! We share set of distribution lists across the whole school. To send an email to one of these distribution lists we right click on the heading of the list and Create>New Message to contact. This is fine and works perfectly. How do I then add another distribution list in the 'To' field. If I follow the same procedure, I end up with a second new email message. Any help much appreciated. James
SYNACK Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Cant you just make a new email then click on the "To" button/text beside the to box then choose both distribution lists from your contacts and add each of them using the add button?
jamesfed Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Should just need to type the name of the list into the to box and press the check names box (usaly a red guy with a blue tick through).
Admiral208 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Hi guys, Thanks but this doesn't work because the distribution lists are shared from another email account. which means they aren't in the list when you click 'To' and they aren't available when you click on the check names box.

Is that for some security purpose or could you add your lists to your global address list in exchange management?
Admiral208 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Its ok... panic over. I've sorted it now. There is an icon in the menu bar to send to all selected distribution lists. Is that for some security purpose or could you add your lists to your global address list in exchange management? Its because we don't have our own exchange server. Exchange is run at county level for the whole of the region. Its a workaround that works for us. Thanks for the replies James
