rh91uk Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Hello, just a quick one. All ldap logins to Moodle were fine (and pretty speedy!) last academic year. Come to this year and we install our new SRX firewall (here lies the problem I think...) logins are incredibly slow. DNS servers are right on both the MySQL and Apache boxes so I am at a loss. What about opening port 389 (LDAP?) to the server from the SRX. Think that may fix it? Seems like an obvious answer but I'm just trying to answer the questions in my head here - cheers..!
CyberNerd Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 What about opening port 389 (LDAP?) to the server from the SRX. Think that may fix it? you will need LDAP open from apache to the LDAP server, but that would explain NO logon, not SLOW logon
sister_annex Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 how about bypassing DNS altogether and pointing to your ldap server using its IP address?? just a thought
rh91uk Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 Thanks sister annex, tried that one already
