Sam_Brown Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 I've been imaging our new computers. 15 imaged fine. Now I'm trying to image number 16 and it keeps on failing halfway through saying the "Connection Reset By Server". This computer is exactly the same as the others. I thought perhaps it was a one off so tried again and the exact same thing happened. I tried to reghost one of the original 15 we did and again... "Connection Reset By Server". I thought maybe the image was bad so tried to create another one from our template workstation and it gets ahlfway through before giving a "Connection Timed Out Error". I was wondering if anyone else has ever encountered anything like this before and how they resolved it. I can't think of any difference whatsoever since we imaged the original 15 and now out of nowhere it's stopped working!!!
6Foot2 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 Has your server IP address changed? Have you tried checking the server setup for errors? [Click Start/Administrative Tools/Remote Installation Setup] When the program starts click 'Next' then select the second option [Check this remote installation server for errors] and click 'Next' and allow the check to complete. This has solved similar problems for me in the past.
Sam_Brown Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 No such option! I've just deleted and re-added the NDIS driver and it seems to be working now... *fingers crossed*
