PS3 Backup Utility

So Ive ordered the PS3 backup USB drive, and it should be here next Monday. Interested to see if it works as well as shown in the videos. Finally be able to keep my games on the HD and stop all my disks getting scratched.

 

I cant help but feel if Sony hadn't removed the OtherOS function, there would have been less of a drive to find a workaround.

typical, my ps3 dies (of the ylod i think) and this happens (along with a release date for GT5 and a good playtv update near the end of the year).

needless to say, dont use it online.

 

BackupManager reports as a unique game-id and you'll be spotted by Sony a mile away.

Cheers.. Ill just put the actual disk in if I want to play the game online, its only really Pro Evo I play online anyway, Tiger Woods doesnt seem to work so well down here..

 

Im just lazy and having the ability to change games without getting out my chair is appealing.

Faster loading times would also be nice.

 

Sony have filed action in AUS courts tho. Hope they ship yours.

 

Should be able to dump it soon tho... looks like USB behind the scences.
