circlestech Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Hello All, We have got one Primary CC3 server along with an seperate Exchange and SIMS server. We no longer have a support contract with RM and are in need of a RM Community Connect 3 CD which needs to be Windows 2003 Server does anyone have one that we can use? Kind Regards, Ben
kmount Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 What are you planning on achieving with it? The CC3 CD RM leave you after install with won't "completely" give you a CC3 server (missing all of RM's scripts/etc).
circlestech Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 We want to reinstall our Primary server as we are having some issues with it, I want to install it to another test server we have so I can build it up then put it in place of our existing one.
circlestech Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 If anyone can send us any CC3 media you have that would be a great help? Kind Regards, Ben
kmount Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 You won't be able to because the recovery CD's don't actually have the RM scripts that are needed for commissioning. The best you'll get is coupling the recovery cd with the commissioning tape back up but I suspect that will bring with itself its own problems (AD Tombstone comes to mind).
Butuz Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Either way us sending you CD's so you can create a new CC3 domain controller is against your (and our) RM Licencing terms and conditions. My question has to be - if you have an RM CC3 network and it has problems, why do you not have a support contract??? Butuz
circlestech Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Yeah we are going to be switching to a vanilla network when I have got the time to start playing with one, Has anyone got the RM Application Wizard that they can send to me or a CD with the RM utilities on it would appear that some of the software on the server needs to be reinstalled?
kmount Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I doubt you will find anyone willing to risk their licensing obligations to send you this stuff. You may find RM App Wiz is already installed on any machines built in the packagebuild folder maybe.
maestromasada Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 You can do an ASR backup of the server and then restore on a virtual machine, basically copying the identity and use it for testing
